Webb10 okt. 2024 · This is the technique where you put the ball in the middle or slightly forward in the stance, open the club face a hair, hand/shaft is neutral, and just swing the club bottoming out just before the ball and let the bounce do it's thing. I tried it a little and it seems to work well/better, but not sure what is the best wedge/bounce to use for this. But there are situations where I will use an Utley style chip too. These are usually much longer chips where I need to either get some height or a long roll out.

If not, then I wouldn't advise putting an M-grind on any wedge with less that 10 degrees of loft as it will reduce the effective bouce some what and Stan advocates the use of the sole of his club in pitching and sandplay.
